A Cape Coral, FL man had his semi-truck stolen earlier this week.? The police were notified by the owner that the vehicle didn’t have a GPS tracking device installed but it did have a SunPass toll paying device.? The police were able to follow the trip that the stolen semi took but they were not able to pin point its exact location.
This is a creative way of following a vehicle but it’s not a great way of finding it! You see the police and SunPass monitoring facility can only tell where it has been not where the asset is located. Had the owner of the semi had installed a small inexpensive tracking device he would be able to pinpoint the location of his asset and be able to retrieve it without loss.
